ABBOTT & STELLA
Hi everyone! Here is the update on Abbott and Stella. These are the most lovable dogs you could ever ask to be part of your family. Neither one are food aggressive and Abbott who cannot see lets any of the other dogs eat with him. He does get a little frightened of the cats but I think that’s because he more than likely has never seen one. I cannot say enough about these two and how they get along with everyone. They are both very good with kids all ages. Neither one barks unless they are outside playing. It is fascinating to watch Abbott and how he plays not only with Stella but with the others and how they all adapt to playing with him. Their best thing is to lay by your feet and get belly rubs. Once you have met them you can do nothing but love them. Abbott has learned to manage our steps. We have three that go down to the back yard and it only took him a week to learn how to go up and down them. These two are the most amazing animals and friends that I have ever dealt with. If you choose them for your forever family you will not be sorry.

RAZOR
AROOO to all the "professional" Basset lovers! Meet Razor, a real prize with true "bassitude" and brains to boot!! Razor is not the dog for just anybody. This exceptional boy requires LOTS of exercise for both his body and his brain. "Bassets are lazy" you say?! "Bassets are dumb" you say?! WRONG!!! Razor is definitely an honor student. He needs an outgoing owner with training experience. Razor learns new things at an amazing pace. He loves agility, and is very good at it. OK folks, what better way to shed those winter pounds: exercise with Razor the wonder dog!!

MAGGIE
"My name is Maggie Mae and I am 5 years old.
I have super soft fur so I've been told.
I used to be overweight but now I'm looking fit.
Long daily walks for me is a hit!
I have mastered the stairs - it's not a problem anymore and when I need to go potty, I sit by the door.
While I may sit under the table when the family eats I don't countersurf or beg for treats.
I would like a fenced yard so I can lay in the sun and scope out the neighbors and bark just for fun.
I have a Basset foster brother and he is okay but I'd rather have attention to myself anyday.
I do well with kids of school age,
and I roam the house freely - I don't need a cage.
If there's a man in the house that will be just fine but he will need to give me lots of patience and time.
For I love females, kids and teens
but of adult men, I am not real keen."
Fill out an adoption Application Maggie is very sweet.
This Basset girl can't be beat!
SADIE

Sadie is about 4 years old and looking for her very own forever home. She plays well with other dogs, preferably one’s her own age. She doesn’t seem to mind the outdoor kitty at her foster home. She talks to him when they are both outside. Sadie loves to sunbath! But what young lady doesn’t enjoy a good tan.
She is house and crate trained. Keep an eye on the goodies up on the counter though – she’s a surfer. The garbage is also on her favorites list. Her foster mom is working to correct these Basset traits, so continued training will be a must in her forever home. A daily walk will be easy with Sadie as she loves to walk. Riding in the car is no problem for this young girl, she’s a good rider. Sadie likes to play with her people too.
If you need a sweet girl in your family then apply for Sadie today. She’s a lovely girl.

DUNCAN
Duncan has been at his foster home now about 6 weeks while going thru heartworm treatment. He is doing great and has learned how to enjoy life and live indoors. Duncan is crate trained and house trained. When Duncan becomes restless and starts to pace, it is time to go out. When his business is done, he runs to the door, ready to go back in the house. No more wondering the streets for this kid.
Duncan has been living with dogs of all sizes. His favorite playmate is a 5 lb Chihuahua. Duncan also loves his toys which he will toss up in the air and catch them. He does not bother the trash, but will take a look every once in awhile to see what is on the counter. Once he is reminded “NO” he remembers that is no place for him. Duncan does not live with children but he likes it when they visit. He will not jump on them, he likes to cuddle and be petted. At night Duncan wants one last hug and pet and then is quite content sleeping on his dog pillow. Duncan does well riding in the car.
Duncan is a wonderful, well behaved 3 yr old who will make some family very happy. He wants and so deserves his forever home, could it be yours?
